What do you bring to the table that other bands do not?
Flexible musical thinking. We always were admirers of experiments. All of us listen to the diversified music, beginning from the post-punk finishing neo grind and harsh noise. Gradually we have come to understanding that there is simply music, and stylistics, for example are only shades on mood. Therefore if we want that in a song there was a frightening moment, we can take for a basis black metal or thoughts if want pleasure that we stir a rock’n'roll and southern rock. Restrictions aren’t present – a high light it that all was in adequate volumes because to be overzealous with experiments business ordinary. Therefore we long create songs, but having passed test by time, we receive what wanted initially on an exit.
How did you form?
The band was based in spring 2005. Primary line-up consisted of me, Egor, Iliya, another guitarist Yura, who left the band in February 2007 (moved away to study in Europe), and Tolik drummer, he has given himself up to another, more popular music. After it, other several people were playing with us. In the end we understood, that we need not the second guitarist, and cope better with group of 4 men. In spring 2007 we met Slavik (current drummer), and now he plays with us. In connection with work - Egor and Ilya left band. That’s why now it consists from Stas (current vocalist) and Sasha (current guitarist)
It was interesting to start something new in Ukraine which does not exist. Cos initially, we don’t want to engage some kind of thrash, we want to create new audience around us. To gather people with another mentality, not tryin’ to swing. From the very beginning, we had a great mind to create our own cult, the cult of people who was listening to the band, the stylistics of which was nothing like it used to be in existent musicial streams in Ukraine.
Nowadays the band cosists of 4 members – Stas (vocal), Sasha (guitar), Slavik (drumms) and me (bass). In primary line-up we had 2 guitarists, but later we understood that we need not the second guitarist, and cope better with group of 4 men.
What keeps you guys together as a band?
Desire to do the music. To create her new forms, and simply to create. We are faster group of composers which creativity, than glory is more important, than crowd of admirers and any bonuses following from it. We simply as much as possible sincerely do that we feel, it and holds us afloat.
Where do you guys expect to be within the next few years?
We want to go on tour across Europe and States. But it is problematic enough, because for this purpose it is necessary to leave from works and to go to round. As ourselves finance the creativity thus we will simply block to ourselves oxygen. And the band without financing (even banal) long won’t stretch. Therefore meanwhile a unique variant for us – to work and put up money in music. As actually it also occurred in a current of all time of existence of a command.
Still we want to remove some clips and to start to work over new compositions. Lately we have enough matured and left, as it seems to me, on new spiritual level of understanding and music creation. Therefore I think, she is a little transformed, but in which direction while remains a riddle.
What influences your playing style?
We play experimental mathcore, dilute it with various styles of music – from southern till neogrind. We don’t try to mix all-in-one, joining together maximum quantity of stylistics for the sake of appearance; we try to do it with sense and sensation.
What can we expect to see and hear from +\- in the near future?
More recently we have returned from two weeks tour in Russia and some weeks we will have a rest. Then we will start creation of new songs, well and we will in parallel continue concert activity therefore we didn’t act one and a half year. I hope that in the fast and foreseeable future we will visit Europe and States. Well also we will probably start shootings of second video. But it while only plans.
